Gun Season 2011-2012 !!!

A fine tender odd 4-point cull buck !!!

Taken the 2011-1012 opening gun season week

We have dubbed this years deer season the "cull buck" year !!

Hello all. Well so far this year & what a year for seeing the big boys!!! . During the archery season this year I seen at least 6-3-yrs old bucks & one we dubbed "Handle bars" chasing a single "hot doe" what a beautiful thing after 5 yrs of culling out the young odd bucks we have been seeing way too many of , We have been trying to only take the odd ones. It has paid off tremendously . Now that we have some great breeding stock around to breed hopefully heavily this year. Next year already looks promising.

We so far have taken in our group 3- odd bucks & a big doe

I took a 3-point with a broken rack on one side during archery season that had the body weight of a monster lol. I also took a decent 4-pointer during the first week of the gun season. My wife Carol scored on a nice odd 3-point. My nephew Rob came down from VT. to hunt again as he does every year , He as well scored on a "big doe" :) . I told him next year God willing he can finally take one of these bruisers now that they have successfully had time to breed with the many does we have in the area :). He was thrilled as well as myself & Carol that Rob came once again to share with us as a Family unit the wonderful & great Outdoors . To Me thats what its really all about being able to spend some quality time with friends & Family !!! We are getting snow right now as I write our second snow here this year , so myself & wife Carol are heading back out to the woods tomorrow. We will keep ya posted so come back again soon .
